...The region is well known for its quiet surroundings and the local full biological food from small fattorias. The road connection is very good. You can find nearly everything you need in the nearest town Zocca (for example shopping facilities, restaurants or an ATM – UniCredit). Other big cities can be achieved within the time listed or less. The region has good facilities for hiking – for example a lookout point, which you can reach comfortably. But our most important target was something different: local, biological culinary delights. You can find a lot of small fattorias (for example for farina, Parmigiano Reggiano or rare cows – “Mucca Bianca Modenese”), in which you can take a look behind the scenes and buy some good local food. There are food-festivals at regular intervals. The region is well known for its excellent food like wild boar, roe-deer, deer, porcini mushrooms, chestnuts and also rarely truffels. Even excellent meat, ham and sausages can be acquired (for example from Parma). If you have further questions feel free to contact the lessors, the email service is also perfect. the time has come at last and we (a group of 5 friends) travelled to Italy – with our ultimate goal: Emilia-Romagna. After looking around for a short time, we found this holiday accommodation. The rooms are exactly like their pictures, very roomy and are mostly new furnished – particularly kitchen and baths. The lessors are extremely friendly and helpful. They live in the same house as their guests (in this case – we). Highly recommended is the offered traditional “Emilia-Romagna”-Menu (prepared by the lessors), which tastes very well and freshly prepared. All the ingredients are from biological agriculture or even from the own garden. But not only fresh fruits can be found in the garden (you are allowed to eat what you want) – furthermore there are animals like cats (2x), one dog, chicken and one horse (not for eating). Even the own Pizza-oven can be used. Nothing is better than sitting in the garden – with a good local vine, a self-made pizza (with the best local farina we ever ate), the friendly lessors and the cute pets!...
